Brandon Flowers has told NME The Killers are ‘back in motion’ and looking to mix things up on their next record.
“I love making records and I love performing,”he said. “If The Killers want to make a record then that’s me, that’s a big part of my identity.”
“We’re in motion, for sure. We’re starting to talk and looking at where we are going to rehearse and write. The wheels are turning.”
The Killers returned from a previous prolonged break in 2012 with ‘Battle Born‘, and found the response positive enough to sell out Wembley Stadium the following summer.
For Flowers though, that album ‘as a whole wasn’t strong enough’, and he’s hoping for something different when the band next emerge.
“We’re thinking of switching it up,” he continued. “I think we definitely need to do something different. We need to turn it on its head a little bit.”
