Brandon Flowers‘ solo tour behind his 2015 album ‘The Desired Effect‘ has hit the buffers according to online reports.
Flowers has been happily promoting the record around the world since its release in May, but all remaining dates of this latest North American tour have apparently been cancelled, due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’.
The news doesn’t get any better for those who’d been hoping to catch the Killers frontman in Charlotte, Raleigh, Norfolk, Atlanta, Orlando or Miami – fansite The Killers News claims these shows won’t be rescheduled and they should instead seek refunds.
Brandon Flowers released his second solo album on May 18th after slightly reluctantly going it alone again despite the success of The Killers’ 2012 comeback LP ‘Battle Born‘.
He did so whilst lamenting the band’s ‘lack of drive’, but speaking to Rolling Stone earlier this year he nevertheless declared himself ‘excited’ about their future.
“Everything is fine,” he said. “I’ve been talking to Dave, and he hasn’t sounded this excited about making music in a long time. So that, in turn, makes me excited. I feel like when he’s at his best, and when we’re all collaborating, is when the Killers are at their best, and that’s what we really need.”
