Bon Jovi are the second act to confirm their headline appearance at next year’s Isle Of Wight festival after The Stone Roses were added to the bill yesterday (November 26th).
Like the Roses, Bon Jovi’s Isle Of Wight gig on Sunday, June 16th 2013 will mark their only UK festival appearance of next summer.
“The Isle of Wight Festival is legendary and we’re excited to join in the long tradition of Rock ‘n’ Roll history,” Jon Bon Jovi has said.
“We are honoured to be the headliners on the Main Stage Sunday night. This will mark our first visit to the island and I expect it will prove to be a highlight of our tour and of 2013.”
Since being re-started by John Giddings in 2002, the Isle Of Wight festival has reclaimed its reputation as one of the UK’s premier summer events, and was headlined earlier this year by the ‘US Trilogy’ of Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen and Pearl Jam.
