Bombay Bicycle Club and Robyn will both make UK festival exclusive appearances at Wilderness in August.

Bombay Bicycle Club’s confirmation for the event, which will be held at Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire between August 1st-4th, is one of the first bits of concrete news to emerge since their hiatus was brought to an end last month. A message on their socials said that they had been back playing music together ‘since late last year’ and were focusing on new material after So Long, See You Tomorrow went to number one in the UK in 2014..

“We were initially a little rusty but also nostalgic playing songs that have been around since we were teenagers,” they wrote. “More than anything it just felt great to be in the same room playing again. It made us realise what a good thing we have and has given us renewed energy and enthusiasm for the future.”

“The joy we were getting out of playing the old songs seemed to naturally lead us onto working on new material, so we’re becoming immersed in that as we speak.”

Some more names confirmed for Wilderness include Groove Armada Live, Tom Odell, Tom Grennan, Freya Ridings, Honey Dijon and Erol Alkan.
