Blur will play a free show in New York on Friday (May 1st) to celebrate the release of their new album ‘The Magic Whip‘.

The band are due at the Music Hall Of Williamsburg in Brooklyn for a gig arranged by Converse Rubber Tracks when they’ll perform their comeback album in full. It’ll be the first headline show in New York for the original quartet of Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree in 15 years.

Fans will need to register for tickets at Converse-Music.com/Blur from today (April 29th) at 12pm EST.

Blur released their first album since 2003 this week after an initial live reunion in the summer of 2009 initially brought the four bandmates back together. Various sporadic live touring has followed, including a visit to the Far East in 2013 where sessions for ‘The Magic Whip’ first began.
