Beth Gibbons has unveiled the latest preview of Lives Outgrown ahead of the LP’s release on May 17th.
Reaching Out is one of ten tracks written during the course of a decade when there were ‘lots of goodbyes’ in Gibbons’ life – to family, friends and her former self.
I realised what life was like with no hope. And that was a sadness I’d never felt. Before, I had the ability to change my future, but when you’re up against your body, you can’t make it do something it doesn’t want to do.
European touring, meanwhile, is set to include a sold-out gig at the Barbican Centre in London on June 9th as well as further UK shows at the Albert Hall in Manchester and Usher Hall in Edinburgh.
