Win Butler and Régine Chassagne have posted a new video for Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) to mark the 10th anniversary of Arcade Fire‘s album The Suburbs.

It is, incredibly, a decade since Arcade Fire produced a worthy successor to Funeral with their third studio album, the widespread critical acclaim which had first started with that 2005 debut ultimately going a stage further to deliver various major awards throughout 2011, including Grammys and Brits, whilst the trans-Atlantic number one success also put the band almost accidentally into the live big leagues.

As for a brand new studio album, that might not be far away either after Butler used the occasion of his 40th birthday to confirm they had been working on new material before the coronavirus epidemic, and that subsequently, ‘the writing has intensified, and the work is flowing out’.
