Aerosmith have been formally announced as the third and final headliner for Download 2014.

The US band will round off events at Donington Park on June 15th next year.

“It’s been too long since we’ve been to England and we’re sincerely fucking charged to be coming back,” guitarist Joe Perry comments. “See you there.”

Aerosmith join Friday night headliners Avenged Sevenfold and Saturday’s main act Linkin Park, who are planning to perform their debut album ‘Hybrid Theory‘ in full.

“We have been kicking around the idea of playing Hybrid Theory for some time and the perfect opportunity is Download 2014,” frontman Chester Bennington said.

“The legendary energy of the Download crowd is the apex of the rock experience and we are very excited to share this special night with them.”

Tickets for Download are currently selling with a £10 discount – weekend arena prices will return to their standard £160 from November 8th. Three-night camping is £185, five-night £195.
