Adele has said she regrets engaging in writing sessions with Damon Albarn for her new album ‘25‘.

The Blur frontman was quoted as saying he found the singer’s new material to be ‘middle of the road’, but during a cover interview with Rolling Stone, Adele has responded:

“It ended up being one of those ‘don’t meet your idol’ moments. And the saddest thing was that I was such a big Blur fan growing up. But it was sad, and I regret hanging out with him.”

“None of it was right. None of it suited my record. He said I was insecure, when I’m the least insecure person I know. I was asking his opinion about my fears, about coming back with a child involved — because he has a child — and then he calls me insecure?”

Adele’s follow-up to the huge selling 2011 album ‘21‘ is out on November 20th.
