Unsurprisingly, Adele is the bookmakers’ hot favourite to pick up the British Album prize at this evening’s Brit Awards.
Adele’s massive selling record ‘21‘ will compete for the gong with Coldplay (‘Mylo Xyloto‘), Ed Sheeran (‘+’), Florence & The Machine (‘Ceremonials’) and PJ Harvey (‘Let England Shake’), and was 1/10 favourite at bookies William Hill before betting closed.
“We are almost certain that Adele will scoop a Brit or two, but despite the fact that Someone Like You has been number one just about everywhere in the world, One Direction’s diehard fans look like they may well have secured best single for their boys,” William Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly has said.
In addition, Adele is also the clear favourite to take home the British Female award, with fellow chart star Jessie J in second on the betting at 9/2.
The Brit Awards will be held tonight (February 21st) at the London O2 Arena, and is to be hosted for a second year by actor/comedian James Corden.
