Peggy Sue have shared their new single Validate Me with the Vices album set for release on February 21st next year.
“We were listening to a lot of Ramones, and female bands that borrow from them – like Colleen Green and Vivian Girls – and Validate Me takes inspiration from the way they can combine sweet and vulnerable and seething and heavy all in one track,” Katy Young and Rosa Slade say.
“This song owns up to a set of emotions that aren’t particularly empowering – to getting validation from someone else’s desire for you. But there’s something empowering about admitting to them. Lots of the songs on the new album Vices are sort of messed-up love songs for things that feel good, but aren’t necessarily good for you – like getting staying out too late, or taking too much comfort from certain people” said Peggy Sue’s Katy Young about the track.”
