On the 50th anniversary of Abbey Road’s UK release yesterday, a new video for The Beatles‘ classic album track Here Comes The Sun was premiered.
The promo takes us into Studio Two at Abbey Road, a vision brought to film by directors Alasdair Brotherston and Jock Mooney with production from Trunk Animation’s Maria Manton.
Out today is the anniversary re-release of Abbey Road, the super deluxe box-set edition offering 40 tracks including demo versions, alternate takes and the ‘Trial Edit’ of the album’s Side 2 medley, dubbed The Long One. “The magic comes from the hands playing the instruments, the blend of The Beatles’ voices, the beauty of the arrangements,” Giles Martin has said.
According to the facts that I was led to believe true, John Lennon had. no hand in the recording of the song. If there’s any truth to this then why is Lennon so prominently featured?
