Paul Simon has confirmed his new album ‘Stranger To Stranger‘ for release on June 3rd.
“It’s about getting you to actually hear something in a new way,” Simon remarks on the LP which has been recorded with Simon his long-term musical partner Roy Halee. “It’s about making music that sounds old and new at the same time; music with a sense of mystery.”
As one of the truly great songwriters, Paul Simon is again exploring a variety of genres on the record, from Flamenco to a collaboration with the Italian electronic dance music artist Clap! Clap!.
“Sound is the theme of this album as much as it’s about the subjects of the individual songs,” he continues. “If people get that, I’ll be pleased.”
“The right song at the right time can live for generations. A beautiful sound, well that’s forever.”
