Foals have released a short film which goes behind the scenes of the making of their new album ‘What Went Down‘.
Crème Anglaise captures the band in relaxed mood during their stay in the south of France. A longer version is to be included with the deluxe version of the album when it is released on August 28th.
“I’d recorded the beginning riff on my phone ages ago,” frontman Yannis Philippakis has told NME of the album’s title-track. “At the beginning it had a baggy feel, but became less so with more work. The central image – ‘I see a mountain at my gates’ – was from me getting more interested in seeing what would come out lyrically where there wasn’t a pre-conceived idea.”
