Tame Impala will play the Liverpool Olympia in September when their new album just might be unleashed.
Kevin Parker‘s band are at the venue on September 9th, and will be supported by their former member Nicholas Allbrook. Tame Impala’s follow-up to the already-classic 2012 LP ‘Lonerism‘ is expected later this year and, according to Jay Watson when in conversion with Faster Louder, is set to be a ‘less rockier’ affair than its lauded predecessor.
“It’s probably gonna be less rock again and more electronic again, even more than the last one,” the keyboard player said. “It’s gonna be awesome, everything he does is awesome. I guess probably cause he knows someone like me’ll get drunk and then say stuff about it in interviews! Which is a very real possibility. It’s probably best I don’t say anything because I’ll get in more trouble than you will.”
Tame Impala are also due on UK shores just after this Liverpool gig for an appearance at End Of The Road in Wiltshire.
