In anticipation of ‘Tyranny‘, Julian Casablancas has uploaded the 11-minute track ‘Human Sadness‘ to iTunes. Follow this link.
The epic is previewing the Strokes frontman’s second solo album which is due for release on September 23rd through his own Cult Records label.
The Voidz – Jeramy Gritter, Amir Yaghmai, Jeff Kite, Jake Bercovici and Alex Carapetis – have been brought on board for the album and begin a US tour in Philadelphia on October 16th.
“Tyranny has come in many forms throughout history,” Casablancas has said. “Now, the good of business is put above anything else, as corporations have become the new ruling body.”
“Most decisions seem to be made like ones of a medieval king: whatever makes profit while ignoring and repressing the truth about whatever suffering it may cause (like pop music, for that matter).”
