The BBC Introducing Stage at next month’s Bestival event on the Isle Of Wight has had its final details confirmed.
We now know an opening night party will be hosted by various BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra DJs on Friday, 5th September, with Bondax headlining a bill which also includes Karma Kid, Seb Wildblood, Farrow, Night Flowers, Blessa, Joel Culpepper, Phildel and The Gorgeous Chans on Saturday.
Sunday then has Manchester-based producer TCTS topping GhostChant, Mella Dee, TRU Concept, Nai Harvest, Go Swim, Lake Komo, Brooklyn. and Raphaella.
Bestival is headlined by OutKast, Beck, Foals and Chic featuring Nile Rodgers and will have a ‘Desert Island Disco’ theme for 2014.
“In 1977, a strange piece of flotsam washes up with the tide on an island somewhere in the South Atlantic,” a statement released at the start of the year said.
“The victim of a wild party hundreds of miles away, a giant and abandoned disco ball finally comes to rest on the beach. Squinting at the sunlight reflecting off its hundreds of mirrors, a tribesman gently lifts it from the wet sand, feels the tides turn, and runs it back to the elders.”
