Arctic Monkeys have added a second date at Earls Court in London to their UK arena tour as tickets go onsale today (July 5th).
The Sheffield band will now play the venue on October 25th and 26th as part of the trip which begins a few days earlier at the Newcastle Metro Radio Arena.
In the wake of their well-received set at last weekend’s Glastonbury festival, the Arctics also have shows booked in Manchester, Liverpool, Cardiff, Birmingham and, moving into November, Glasgow and Sheffield.
Meanwhile, Earls Court is soon to be consigned to the history books if redevelopment work approved by London mayor Boris Johnson goes ahead as planned. Local residents are fighting the decision, and have launched both a website and online petition in a bid to save the iconic venue.
