After telling Italian radio station Deejay he had been demoing new songs with his ex-Oasis bandmates earlier this week, Liam Gallagher has now revealed more on his plans for a new album, saying he is sure his new tracks will be better than anything he did with his previous band.
Speaking to MTV Italy, Liam said: “We’ve been demoing some songs that we’ve had on the quiet. After Christmas we might go in the studio and record it and hopefully have an album out in July. We’ll do it in a different kind of way now. I’ll try and reconnect with a new band, new songs and I’m feeling confident about the songs. I’m feeling a million per cent confident that they could be better than Oasis.”
He confirmed the songs have been demoed with Gem Archer and Andy Bell, as well as drummer Zak Starkey, who toured with Oasis in 2005/6 and played on their final two albums, the NME reports. We told you Monday that Liam had informed fans in Italy that Chris Sharrock would be the go to drummer. One will have to wait and see who gets the call.
Liam also discussed his new clothing range Pretty Green, and revealed he would like to expand the franchise in the future. “Music is where it’s at,” he said. “Music is first, clothes are second. If it all goes well hopefully we can maybe get a shop in London. If it goes really well we’ll get a shop in Italy. I want it to be all over the world.”
