Hundred Reasons will split after two farewell shows in November, the band have confirmed.
After forming in 1999, Hundred Reasons enjoyed a period of commercial success along with a clutch of other British guitar bands around the time of the so-called New Rock Revolution, and hit #6 on the UK Album Chart with their debut record ‘Ideas Above Our Station‘ in 2002. They have since release three further studio LPs, the last of which – ‘Quick The Word, Sharp The Action‘ – arrived in October 2007.
“Dream line-up – bands we love, people we love,” the band have written on their official Facebook page about the farewell gigs. “Been a while in the planning, this, but we’re seriously bloody excited about it. This is the final outing for everyone involved, so we hope you’ll join us for a properly good send-off.”
Hell Is For Heroes, who have been on hiatus since 2008, will come out of retirement especially for the two shows, which are due to take place on November 23rd at the Manchester Academy and November 24th at London’s HMV Forum.
“We a can confirm that we coming out of rock n’ roll retirement for 2 very special shows this November,” they have said. “We will be playing our first record “The Neon Handshake” from start to finish before Hundred Reasons play their first album “Ideas Above Our Station” too.”
