Pale Waves have been added to the day headlined by The 1975.

New names on the bill for this year’s TRNSMT Festival include Pale Waves, The Wombats, FLO, Nothing But Thieves and Dream Wife.

Sam Fender and The 1975 will be topping the main stage in Glasgow this coming July, but the chief highlight looks like being Friday night headliners Pulp, who’ve got TRSNMT down as one of the stops on their 2023 reunion tour.

We were there over a decade ago now when the band’s last comeback brought a headline appearance at Leeds Festival in August 2011.

“The fascination of a younger Jarvis Cocker and his razor-sharp tongue on the sleazier side of life is made abundantly clear; be it the tale of desire and promiscuousness told in ‘Pencil Skirt’ or the dirty sexuality of ‘This Is Hardcore’, all delivered by Cocker in a manner which leaves nothing to the imagination,” our review reads.

“Predictably it’s set closer ‘Common People’ which really steals the show as Cocker firstly recounts its well-known origins, leading us back to his student days whilst also recalling the panic as he aimed to finish the song’s lyrics in time for its first outing some years later.”
