Young Fathers announce new album Heavy Heavy

It’s Young Fathers’ first since 2018’s ‘Cocoa Sugar’.

After the summer release of Geronimo, Young Fathers have confirmed their new album Heavy Heavy will be out on February 3rd next year.

That single is on there along with nine other new tracks, including the lead I Saw – ‘a big bully with shite down their leg, still swaggering’.

“Heavy Heavy could be a mood, or it could describe the smoothed granite of bass that supports the sound,” the band said.

“Or it could be a nod to the natural progression of boys to grown men and the inevitable toll of living, a joyous burden, relationships, family, the natural momentum of a group that has been around long enough to witness massive changes.”
