Pavement were in Leeds on October 17th.
Now over ten years on from their first reunion, Pavement’s latest comeback is another one of those musical milestones delayed by the pandemic; their return to the UK this month coming after a lengthy tour of North America had itself had followed appearances at Primavera Sound originally scheduled for 2020.
The live return coincided with a 45-track reissue of the band’s fifth studio album Terror Twilight: Farewell Horizontal, complete with the remastered original album, B-sides, home demos, rehearsal tapes, live recordings and session outtakes from their ultimately discarded sessions at Sonic Youth’s Echo Canyon studio.
Still to come on the tour are four nights at the London Roundhouse before the band head off around mainland Europe through to mid-November, concluding back in the UK and Ireland at Vicar Street in Dublin.
