Fucked Up will release it on January 27th next year.
Fucked Up have confirmed the details of their new album One Day.
The title relates to the recording approach of guitarist Mike Haliechuk who, with the idea of seeing, ‘what I could record in one day’, completed the initial work during the course of three eight-hour sessions.
The title-track is out now with a video directed by Colin Medley. “When I first heard One Day, it sounded to me like a song about two people overcoming all odds to find love and happiness with each other,” Medley said.
“Right away I knew that I wanted to tell the story through two dancers. I decided to shoot at the Great Hall in Toronto the day Fucked Up were scheduled to play a show there.”
“Knowing that the building would be mostly quiet during the day leading up the the concert, I plotted out the basic structure of the video, deciding that it would end with the two characters searching for each other in the crowd as Fucked Up performed on stage.”
