Yard Act released their debut album in January 2022.

Yard Act have cancelled some upcoming European festival appearances in order to take a well earned break from life on the road.

Relentless touring since the release of The Overload was due to continue in Germany, Sweden and Norway this weekend but, when writing on social media, the band have explained why some time away is needed:

“We haven’t stopped touring since our album came out in January and we have finally hit a wall.”

“After a discussion between ourselves and our touring crew (who are feeling it as well!) we’ve agreed that taking this weekend of shows out for rest time at home is what our bodies and brains need right now.”

“We will return to touring with La Route De Rock festival in France the following weekend and all festivals and shows from then on should go ahead as scheduled.”

“For what it’s worth, this was a much harder decision for us to make than it really should’ve been. There was guilt for letting people down, shame for feeling we were ‘soft’ and weren’t working hard enough, plus fear for the financial cost of cancelling.”
