The Kinks announce Muswell Hillbillies, Everybody’s In Show-Biz – Everybody’s A Star reissues

The Kinks Muswell Hillbillies

Muswell Hillbillies was originally released by The Kinks in 1971.

The Kinks will look back on the start of their time with RCA Records by reissuing Muswell Hillbillies along side its 1972, part-live-album successor Everybody’s In Show-Biz – Everybody’s A Star on September 9th.

“Now with a new record company and a new image, I could bring some of the old wild western spirit into my music,” Ray Davies said.

“These albums capture the re-emergence of the Kinks as a touring band.” Dave Davies added. “Muswell Hillbillies is one-of my favourite Kinks albums. It’s a bit of a backstory to the Davies family and the characters involved.”

Both albums have been remastered for their new editions, while expanded versions will have added bonus content such as a hardback book, a Kinks ‘London Roots map’ and printed memorabilia.
