Franz Ferdinand land high new entry on UK Record Store Chart

Rex Orange Country are at number one ahead of Franz Ferdinand on the latest chart.

Franz Ferdinand’s Hits To The Head compilation is one of the highest new entry on the UK Record Store Chart.

More debuts this week come from Boo Radleys with Keep On With Falling and The Weather Station’s How Is It That I Should Look At The Stars, while Sam Fender is back inside the Top 20 with his blockbuster second album Seventeen Going Under.




A decade ago, The Official Charts Company began compiling the UK Record Store Chart to reflect the boom in vinyl sales which had begun during the previous decade. Its figures are taken from the best selling albums at 100 of Britain’s leading independent music shops.
