Polar States release their self-titled EP on April 29th.
Polar States wanted to keep things, ‘super simple, so that it feels like you’re just watching us rehearse’, on the video for their new single So Much Happened Since You Came.
“We somehow ended up inheriting an old piano that originally belonged to The Wombats, and it opened up a whole other dimension to our writing,” singer Paul explains of the song itself.
“Suddenly it felt like our sound fell out of the sky. So Much Happened Since You Came was the first song we wrote on it. I’m forever writing lyrics into my phone, often in the middle of the night in a hazy state. I sat down at the piano, opened my phone notes and there it was. 5 minutes later it was finished.”
