Our recap of the stories we featured during the past seven days includes a fresh look at a George Harrison classic.

Various stars from the entertainment world have come together to create the first official video for George Harrison‘s classic single My Sweet Lord, all executive produced by his son Dhani and directed by Lance Bangs.

“Making this was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life,” Bangs says. “The approach was to represent the song visually while these agents and inspectors kept missing the metaphysical wonder around them. Images are choreographed to the sounds of vocal melodies, guitar strums, drum patterns, chord changes.”

David Bowie’s Hunky Dory is the latest classic album to reach its 50th year, and will get an anniversary reissue on January 7th, 2022.

The picture disc vinyl edition is being previewed with a polished-up version of Changes – ‘a fresh look at David’s classic’, according to co-producer Ken Scott.

Sam Fender has added an appearance at Finsbury Park in London to the outdoor concerts he has coming up next year.

Due to back The Killers in London and Dublin, and with bookings at festivals including Rock Werchter, this latest show is booked for July 15th next year, slotting in after another open-air gig, at Castlefield Bowl in Manchester, on the 6th of that month.

Animal Collective have unveiled the official promo for their new single Walker.

“It was so much fun to collaborate with Dave on this video, there were so many drawings and phone calls back and forth about how to make the record cover come to life and so much experimenting with movements of the band and acrobats to figure out how to get the flow right,” co-director Abby Portner says.
