“Just take some time for yourself,” Wet Leg say of their new single. “Take a breath. Have a bath. It might make you feel a bit better.”
Wet Leg have confirmed their self-titled debut album will be released on April 8th next year.
With an instant one-two single success thanks to Chaise Longue and Wet Dream as big as any in recent memory, the first full length from Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers is primed to be one of 2022’s most anticipated releases.
The duo had it ready well before any of this though; the 12 tracks written, recorded and completed primarily with Speedy Wunderground’s Dan Carey before Chaise Longue had even given them that immediate hit – ‘unconventional’, Chambers reflects.
“Wet Leg was originally just supposed to be funny,” Teasdale adds. “As a woman, there’s so much put on you, in that your only value is how pretty or cool you look.”
“But we want to be goofy and a little bit rude. We want to write songs that people can dance to. And we want people to have a good time, even if that might not possible all of the time.”
