Declan Welsh And The Decadent West had been on the road since the start of November.
Declan Welsh And The Decadent West concluded their UK tour at The Caves in Edinburgh last night (November 23rd), launched after September’s release of their It’s Been A Year EP.
The EP included the singles Another One and Parisian Friends, as well as the summer cut Talking To Myself – ‘pretty deliberately vague’, according to Welsh:
“It’s generally about the idea of these internal conversations you have, different parts of you saying do this or that. It’s been a year or two spent in our own heads so this just sort of came out.”
“It’s a song about that weirdly comforting truth that everyone is insecure, sad or anxious in some way. None of us are alone in that respect, but we’re all suffering together, apart.”
