My Morning Jacket release their new album on October 22nd via ATO Records.
My Morning Jacket have unveiled the first single proper for their forthcoming self-titled LP.
“Love Love Love is trying to steer the ship away from everything I’m talking about in Regularly Scheduled Programming and speak toward positivity and pure love, finding truth within yourself and in the world around you,” says Jim James.
The Regularly Scheduled Programming track mentioned by James accompanied the announcement of My Morning Jacket’s first album in six years last month, the frontman saying that he believes it, ‘really hits home after what we’ve gone through with the pandemic’.
“But even before then, it felt like so many of us were trading real life for social media, trading our own stories for the storylines on TV, trading our consciousness for drugs. We need to help each other wake up to real love before it’s too late.”
