Creation Day will be at West Park in Wolverhampton between May 28th-29th next year.

Back in March this year, the inaugural Creation Day festival was moved from its original May weekend to 2022, but the delay has at least meant the addition of one almighty new headliner.

Idles will now be headlining the first night, with Happy Mondays back to round off the Sunday when some of the other acts who’d been due to perform this year – such as Friendly Fires, Glasvegas, The Wedding Present and Sleeper – will also be performing.

“I’m very pleased to be asked again by the City of Wolverhampton Council & Toura Toura Festivals to curate the Utilita Creation Day Festival 2022,” curator Alan McGee says.

“It’s great to see that most of the bands that missed out on playing due to Covid restrictions this year, have all agreed to come back and play in 2022 with the fantastic addition of IDLES.”
