Wolf Alice have also had a big hit on the UK’s main album chart.

Wolf Alice have unsurprisingly topped the UK Record Store Chart with their already lauded new album Blue Weekend.

It leads some other high profile releases from Rise Against, James and Japanese Breakfast, while Greentea Peng is new at #13 with Man Made.

Further back, Squid and St. Vincent both re-enter the Top 20 with their respective albums Bright Green Field and Daddy’s Home.

It’s now nine years since The Official Charts Company launched this chart as vinyl sales surged during the last decade, a trend which continued in 2020 as the format grew for the 13th consecutive year. It is compiled from the best selling albums at 100 of Britain’s leading independent music shops.
