Sigrid released her Mirror single back in May.
Sigrid has echoed back to her Dynamite single of four years ago with a new, piano-led version of Mirror.
“The piano has always been my favourite place to be.It’s where I forget everything that I need to do, or should do…and it’s kinda the same in the studio when writing songs,” she says.
“I like to check if it works just on the piano, and if the song passes that test, it’s good to go! It’s where I started writing songs when I was 16, and it’s cool to always come back to that space in between all those big, exciting productions..Hope you enjoy this lowkey version of Mirror by the piano!”
The performance video has put in mind the loss of live music during the past 18 months, ‘the thing that was most important taken away’, as Sigrid says:
“Touring and travelling and being an artist. I thought, who am I without the music? My self-worth as a human is not just work, but who am I without my job? But last year made me realise I don’t want to do anything else. I wanted to do this for the rest of my life.”
