“Today we can finally announce our UK tour dates and it feels more special than ever that soon we can see our incredible fans again,” London Grammar have said on social media.

London Grammar have detailed four UK shows ahead of the delayed release of their new album Californian Soil.

The short run is due to start at the Birmingham Academy on Bonfire Night, and will then move on to the Glasgow Academy, the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester and London’s Alexandra Palace.

Californian Soil is now due to be released on April 9th, in part a look at Hannah Reid’s own negative experiences with an industry riddled with them.

“Misogyny is primitive, which is why it is so hard to change,” she has said. “But it is also fearful. It’s about rejecting the thing in yourself which is vulnerable or feminine. Yet everybody has that thing.”

“This record is about gaining possession of my own life. You imagine success will be amazing. Then you see it from the inside and ask, ‘Why am I not controlling this thing? Why am I not allowed to be in control of it? And does that connect, in any way to being a woman? If so, how can I do that differently?’”

November 2021 Tour dates:

5 – Birmingham, O2 Academy
6 – Glasgow, O2 Academy
9 – Manchester, O2 Victoria Warehouse
13 – London, Alexandra Palace
