London Grammar first announced their next single on New Year’s Day.

Meet the new boss…Into 2021 and there’s more news of lockdowns and subsequent album delays. It’s London Grammar who’ve put their third record Californian Soil back today, from February 12th to April 9th.

“We hope you are all keeping safe and well,” Hannah Reid has written on social media. “We are so sorry to let you know that we are having to move the date of our album release to April 9th.

“Thanks for your patience and understanding we can’t wait for you to hear it.”

There is though a new video for Lose Your Head, the latest preview of an album on which Reid will reflect on her own experiences within the music industry.

“Misogyny is primitive, which is why it is so hard to change,” she’s said. “But it is also fearful. It’s about rejecting the thing in yourself which is vulnerable or feminine. Yet everybody has that thing.”

“This record is about gaining possession of my own life. You imagine success will be amazing. Then you see it from the inside and ask, ‘Why am I not controlling this thing? Why am I not allowed to be in control of it? And does that connect, in any way to being a woman? If so, how can I do that differently?’”
