The road to the debut Genesis Owusu album started with his first EP Cardrive in 2016.
Genesis Owusu has continued the build-up to Smiling With No Teeth by making Gold Chains available to stream.
It’s one of fifteen tracks which will make up the record when it’s released on March 5th, and Owusu says of it:
“Gold Chains was one of the first songs I wrote for the album.”
“It got me thinking about the flaws of being in a profession where, more and more, you have to be the product, rather than just the provider of the product, and public misconceptions about how luxurious that is. Lyrically, it set the tone for the rest of the album.”
