Field Music are also hoping to play some UK festivals before October.
Peter and David Brewis have unveiled their new Field Music song Orion From The Street to go with the details of a UK tour for later this year.
“I wrote it in a daze – it’s full of accidental quotes and allusions – the first couple of lines I overheard in a Cary Grant documentary but they sum up the whole song – how intense impressions of love, hate, grief and guilt can be an almost hallucinatory experience,” Peter says of the track.
Orion From The Street is preempting a new album planned for later this year, perhaps around the time the tour opens on October 7th at Tunnels in Aberdeen. That’ll follow last year’s Making A New World.
Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Nottingham, Brighton and London are on the itinerary from there, ahead of the closing show at Manchester Gorilla on October 23rd.
