New Order released Be A Rebel in September.

New Order have already got plenty out of their Be A Rebel single, and they’ve now unveiled the first part of a remix set which will present fresh versions initially from Bernard Sumner, Paul Woolford and Maceo Plex.

Woolford, who has released lots of music recently under his Special Request moniker – and worked with the likes of Diplo, Disclosure and Depeche Mode, and Tom Walker – has spoken of the band’s influence on generations of musicians such as him.

“As someone from the North of England, shaped and schooled by the legacy of Factory records and acid house, New Order cast an indelible shadow,” he’s said.

“Their influence over youth culture is immeasurable for obvious reasons. Accordingly, I feel like I’ve been in training to work with them most of my life.”
