On New Music Friday, check out the third of Paul McCartney’s trilogy of eponymous albums right here on Live4ever.
After a slight delay, Paul McCartney has released his new solo album McCartney III today.
Ostensibly his eighteenth record, it more directly marks a trilogy of self-titled collections on which McCartney has played all his own instruments, starting with the 1970 debut and continue with the 1980 follow-up.
“I was living lockdown life on my farm with my family and I would go to my studio every day,” the Beatle has said.
“I had to do a little bit of work on some film music and that turned into the opening track and then when it was done I thought what will I do next? I had some stuff I’d worked on over the years but sometimes time would run out and it would be left half-finished so I started thinking about what I had.”
