Hot Chip are aiming to raise money for the Crisis UK charity.

Hot Chip will be joined by some special guests and famous friends when they host a livestreamed event on December 18th.

Virtual DJ sets will be the order of the all-nighter Hot Chip & Friends, with Superorganism, Kero Kero Bonito and Dillon Francis amongst those invited.

“We’re glad to be able to support the essential work that Crisis is doing with the homeless community at this time of year when so many factors combine to make life extremely difficult for vulnerable people on the streets or in temporary accommodation,” they say.

Also booked is Jarvis Cocker, whom Hot Chip recently collaborated with on their Straight To The Morning single.

“This was the very last musical session I was involved in before lockdown,” Cocker recalled. “It felt very poignant to be singing a song about dancing all night long in a club whilst knowing it wouldn’t be possible to do such a thing for the foreseeable future.”

“We danced around the studio quite a lot in the meantime though. It was fun to be a member of the Straight Through Crew for a day.”
