The Avalanches are prepping their first album since 2016.
MGMT, Johnny Marr, Neneh Cherry and The Clash’s Mick Jones are some of the artists confirmed for guest appearances on The Avalanches‘ new album We Will Always Love You after the Aussie duo unveiled its tracklist today.
Indeed, the follow-up to Wildflower is packed with collaborations; Karen O, Blood Orange and Jamie xx some of the other guests on there along with collabs we’ve already heard, such as Leon Bridges on Interstellar Love.
“Leon is an incredible singer, with just the most beautiful voice,” The Avalanches’ Robbie Chater said of that one. “He’s from Texas but we both happened to be in LA at the same time, which was lucky as he was on my all-time wish list.”
“When we were in the studio, I told him the story about Ann Druyan and Carl Sagan and how her love-struck brain waves were sent out into space on the Voyager’s Golden Record. And this this song came out of that.”
We Will Always Love You is set for release on December 11th.
