The Ninth Wave have posted their video for Come Down Forever after recently releasing the Faris Badwan-produced Happy Days! EP.

“The Come Down Forever video was shot by ourselves and edited by one of our favourite Glasgow directors, Bryan M. Ferguson,” the band say. “It was all filmed on Haydn’s tape camcorder in his house and our studio, then it was edited by Bryan. We wanted it to come across as a sort of slapstick instructional video – we felt that some people have a certain perception of us as individuals and that we’re quite a serious band, but we wanted to do the opposite of what is sometimes expected of us in this video to let people see what we’re like when we’re not on a stage.”

“We don’t take ourselves too seriously. However, we still wanted the sentiment of the lyrics and the theme of the song to come across clearly. The idea of Emotional Masochism is portrayed in a comical sense in the visual content of the video, but it’s juxtaposed with the lyrics and the music of the song. It’s a fun and easy guide – follow it along in the comfort of your own home and see how sad you can get!”
