The Libertines, Supergrass and Two Door Cinema Club will all be performing at the UK’s first ever purpose-built socially distanced concert venue next month.

Beginning with a DJ set from Craig Charles on August 14th, the Virgin Money Unity Arena, staged at Newcastle’s Gosforth Park, will host Two Door Cinema Club on August 15th, Supergrass a week later and The Libertines on August 29th.

“We’re excited to be working with artists who have the same desire to make something happen during difficult times for the industry and the general public,” organiser Steve Davis says. “We were determined to make this special and hopefully today’s line-up is a strong statement of intent.”

A similar series is being held around the UK by Live Nation when The Streets, Dizzee Rascal and more are due perform drive-in concerts beginning later this month.
