Willie J Healey by Jo Wheatley
Willie J Healey will release his new album Twin Heavy on August 7th.
It backs up the radio support of recent single Why You Gotta Do It, a track which has been added to today with True Stereo. “True Stereo came from a good place,” Healey says.
“I wrote it while trying out my friend Casper’s baritone guitar. I was like, ‘damn this sounds funky!’ I then transferred that tuning to a regular six string, which gave it a really warped sludgy sound. That baritone inspired the whole idea.”
If the summer brings better news, Healey will be touring the UK around his album’s release, with headline dates booked for August.
