The Spitfires unveil new album Life Worth Living with first single (Just Won’t) Keep Me Down

The Spitfires have unveiled their new album Life Worth Living along with its first single (Just Won’t) Keep Me Down.

Keeping their mod connections strong, the band hunkered down with Simon Dine for the recording sessions – a producer who played the same role on Paul Weller’s 22 Dreams, Wake Up The Nation and Sonik Kicks albums.

The opening preview is about, ‘Walking home from the pub following last orders, an air tinged with danger, chaos and paranoia – be it the darkened streets, police sirens competing with those of the ambulance service to drunken disorder outside the takeaway’, according to Billy Sullivan, who concludesL “I just wanted to capture the environment, one that people can relate to wherever they live.”
