Paul Weller has shared Earth Beat, featuring guest vocals from Col3trane, ahead of the release of his latest solo album On Sunset on June 12th.
It’ll be Weller’s first release after signing with Polydor, and is to be supported with an October/November tour of the UK which is set to conclude with London shows at the Brixton Academy and O2 Kentish Town Forum.
Live4ever recently spoke with Weller’s touring band-member Andy Crofts about, among other things, the new album and its recording process; “It’s not a million miles away from what he’s been doing for the last few years,” Crofts said.
“It’s just good songs. I think I know how he’s so prolific: because he’s found freedom in himself. It sounds like a hippy thing to say, but you learn how to knock down all those walls that you margin yourself in with. If you can get rid of that then you’re free to not care and that makes you more prolific.”
