Whilst we all hope that June and the fruits of spring will be bringing better news for the world, one of that month’s annual highlights has confirmed its plans for 2020.

Heading the latest announcement for Glastonbury Festival is Kendrick Lamar, who joins Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift at the top of the main Pyramid Stage, meaning for once the rumour-mill proved to be pretty much spot on. “After much consideration given the current circumstances, and with the best of intentions, here is the first list of musical acts for Glastonbury 2020,” Emily Eavis has said on social media.

“As things stand we are still working hard to deliver our 50th anniversary Festival in June and we are very proud of the bill that we have put together over the last year or so. No one has a crystal ball to see exactly where we will all be 15 weeks from now, but we are keeping our fingers firmly crossed that it will be here at Worthy Farm for the greatest show on Earth!⁣”

With a large part of the line-up unveiled, other big names include Noel Gallagher (who’s rumoured to be the immediate support for Paul McCartney), Lana Del Rey, Robyn, HAIM, FKA twigs, Anna Calvi, Dizzee Rascal, Kano, Manic Street Preachers, The Big Moon, Thom Yorke, Charli XCX and Sam Fender.
