Conor Oberst has restarted Bright Eyes after nearly a decade with plans afoot to record and tour this year.

Back with Mike Mogis and Nathaniel Walcott, Oberst has signed to Dead Oceans to the delight of the label’s co-founder Phil Waldorf. ”​Bright Eyes is not just a formative artist for me personally, but for countless people who work at Dead Oceans,” he says.




“To get to work with a band that is part of our own origin stories in falling in love with music is the rarest of privileges. We are thrilled to be part of another great chapter in Bright Eyes enduring legacy.”

The first live gig has been arranged for Liquidroom in Toyko and while an appearance at the UK’s End Of The Road festival is coming up in September.
